FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine

Doctors from Orthozentrum Freiburg complete FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine!

The medical team of the Orthozentrum Freiburg, Dr. Volker Fass and Dr. Tarek Schlehubersuccessfully completed the "Diploma in Football Medicine" initiated by FIFA.

In close cooperation with FIFA's 49 centres of excellence worldwide, this unique educational series consisting of 42 modules on the upper and lower extremities, spine, sports medicine and team care was developed. Renowned colleagues from surgical and conservative orthopaedics, sports medicine and physiotherapy share their knowledge on prevention and the treatment of acute and chronic complaints in (football) sport.

Continuous training and exposure to the latest findings of international research enable our team of doctors to ensure the optimal treatment and care of athletes from both competitive and amateur sports. Also for this purpose, Dr Schlehuber will travel to FIFA's German Centre of Excellence in Regensburg in July 2018 to see for himself how the FIFA 11+ programme is being implemented and its suitability for everyday use under the guidance of Prof. Angele.
